Group Paddlesport Sessions - Spademill

Grab a paddle and dive into adventure!

At Spademill, Scouts can explore the water from a whole new angle with our awesome range of canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards (SUPs)! Each session is packed with fun and challenge as up to 16 paddlers take to the reservoir (weather and conditions permitting). Guided by our qualified instructors, your young people will learn essential paddling skills, master balance and control, and discover just how much fun splashing about can be!

Whether you’re gliding smoothly in a kayak, teaming up in a canoe, or testing your balance on a SUP, every session is a chance to build confidence, work together, and make a big splash! 🚣‍♀️🌊🏄‍♂️

Sessions are 6:30pm - 9pm (parents should arrive for collection from 08:30pm)

FAQ's

• How many places should we book? If you want guaranteed exclusive use for your group, book all 16. Otherwise, book the maximum your most likely to need e.g. if you have 8 Scouts in your section, it's very unlikely you'll need 16 places, so book 8. If you book less, the remainder will be available for other people to book. e.g. if you book 8, we could offer 8 to another group or a few individuals to fill the session. If you do book 8, be aware that if we fill the other 8 places, and you bring 2 more, they might not get on the water.

• Can we change our numbers? Up to a week away you should be able to adjust your tickets in the booking in the system, you'll be able to pay for additional tickets if they are available. If it's less than a week away, and you are bringing more than you booked, you will need to contact us on email to check that we can accomodate the numbers.

• How can we pay? The system gives you the option to pay by card or BACS. You should pay when you book to secure your session, if you don't, we may re-advertise it. Sorry, we do not accept cash on the day anymore.

• I'm bringing a child younger than the session limit (leader child who's 5 for example), can they join in? It's possible for some activities, you should contact the team to discuss.
